चारण्या गुरुसाथ्या यांचा ‘अभ्यासम’ हा शास्त्रीय नृत्य महोत्सव आहे जो नवीन संगीत, नवीन थीम, सरावाचे तास आणि श्रोत्यांच्या नजरेसमोर एक रोमांचक अनुभव तयार करण्यासाठी घेतलेल्या प्रयत्नांसह तरुणांसाठी कलागुणांच्या शिक्षणाचे पालनपोषण करणारा समकालीन आणि शास्त्रीय असा उपक्रम आहे.
20 एप्रिल 2024 रोजी नटसम्राट निळू फुले नाट्यगृह, सांगवी, पुणे येथे कृष्ण कथा (कथा) या थीमवर भरतनाट्यम स्वरूपातील संगीतमय नृत्य नाटक सादर करण्यात आले.
पद्मश्री पुरस्कार विजेते गुरू सदानम पी.व्ही. बालकृष्णन ज्यांना 22 एप्रिल 2024 रोजी राष्ट्रपती भवनात पद्मश्री पुरस्कार मिळालेल्या अशा दिग्गज व्यक्तीसोबत स्टेज शेअर करणे खरोखरच एक अविस्मरणीय अनुभव होता . दीपप्रज्वलन आणि त्यानंतर नवरसासह कथकली सादरीकरण व नऊ भावनांनी संध्याकाळ अवर्णनीय करणारा अनुभव होता.

हे भरतनाट्यम पठण 300 हून अधिक लोकांच्या प्रेक्षकांनी पाहिले. त्यांनी कृष्णाला चेतनेच्या मालिकेद्वारे अनुभवले, अंगिका किंवा शरीराच्या हालचालींद्वारे, बाल कृष्णाचे आकर्षण, कृष्णाच्या जन्माच्या दृश्यात दिसून आले. रंगमंचावर उत्सवी वातावरण, माखन चोर, कलिंग नार्थन आणि गोवर्धन गिरी दृश्यांनी प्रेक्षकांनाजणु ‘वृंदावन’ला नेले.
चारण्या गुरुसाथ्या यांनी केलेली जगशोधना प्रेक्षकांना त्यांच्या आसनांच्या खिळवुन ठेवत होती. यशोदेचे तिचे चित्रण, एक विशेषाधिकारप्राप्त आई म्हणून मिठी मारणारी, क्षमा करणारी, गळ घालणारी, महान दैवी देवाला झोपायला लावणारी, कृष्ण आपल्या आईला शरण जात आहे हे खरोखरच पाहण्यासारखे दृश्य होते.

व्हॉईसओव्हरसाठी हस्त मुद्रांसह व्यक्त होण्याचा अनोखा पैलू वाचिका अबिनायाने शोमध्ये अतिशय चांगल्या प्रकारे प्रस्थापित केला. प्रिय कान्हा राधा कृष्णाच्या नृत्य क्रमात, कृष्ण आणि मोरांचा राजा यांच्यातील खगोलीय नृत्य, गोपींच्या कपड्यांची चंचल चोरी, हे सर्व श्रुंगार कोमल गोष्टींच्या रूपात व्यक्त करताना गोपींच्या व्यथा सुंदरपणे चित्रित केलेल्या होत्या. दोन प्रेमी उत्कृटनेने जिव्हाळ्याने कसे राहिलेले शकतात,ते पाहिले.
अस्सल खुसखुशीत, रंगीबेरंगी आणि दोलायमान वेशभूषा, दृश्यांमध्ये वापरलेली थीमॅटिक प्रॉप्स, कृष्णाच्या वेगवेगळ्या टप्प्यांचे सतत दर्शन घडवणाऱ्या बॅकग्राउंड सिल्हूटमधील प्रभावी प्रकाशयोजना, रंगमंचाची सजावट, ध्वनी श्रुती आणि मेकअप यातून आहार्य अशी सजावट दिसली . द्वापार युगातील !
भारतीय संस्कृतीची नृत्यातुन अभिव्यक्ती. ….
सर्व नृत्य सादरीकरणांमध्ये कलात्मक अभिव्यक्तीद्वारे समृद्ध भारतीय पौराणिक कथा, संस्कृती आणि शाश्वत सनातन धर्माचे प्रतिनिधित्व पाहणे हे प्रेक्षकांसाठी खरोखरच वरदान होते. ऑर्केस्ट्राच्या सदस्यांनी केलेल्या भावपूर्ण सादरीकरणाने संपूर्ण नृत्यनाट्यात प्रेक्षकांना जणु जखडुन ठेवले. श्रीमती चारण्या यांच्या नट्टूवंगमने नृत्यांगना आणि वाद्यवृंद, श्री.रोहन पिल्लई यांच्या गायन आणि वीणा यांच्यात एक हार्मनी निर्माण केला. संपूर्ण ठिकाणाने दैवी श्रोत्यांना कृष्णाच्या निवासस्थानापर्यंत पोहोचवले.श्री.गुरुसाथ्या राजशेखर यांचे घटम आणि मोर्सिंगवरील सादरीकरण आणि रिदमसह विशेष प्रभाव ठरले . पॅड्स, शंख, बेल, थाविल आणि कांजिरा यांनी प्रेक्षकांचा उत्साह वाढवला, श्री पंचम उपाध्याय यांचे मृदंगम, श्री. संजय शशीधरण यांच्या बासरीने दमदार ताल, नृत्याच्या हालचालींमध्ये सुरेल आणि सुंदर अभिव्यक्ती आणल्या.

नाट्यशाला अकादमीचे उपक्रम आणि नृत्याच्या माध्यमातून गरजू लोकांच्या जीवनात बदल घडवून आणण्याचा विश्वास खरोखरच वाखाणण्याजोगा आहे. रचना गर्ल्स वसतिगृह – पानशेत, पुणे येथील वंचित शाळेतील 57 मुलींचे मंचावरचे चेहरे पाहून मन हेलावून गेले. समाजातील सर्व घटकांतील मुलांना नृत्य आणि हालचालींसह सर्वांगीण शिक्षण देण्याचे मानवी कार्य करण्यासाठी अकादमीला शुभेच्छा देण्यात येत होत्या.
श्रीमती चारण्या यांनी सादर केलेल्या नृत्यनाट्याचे नृत्यदिग्दर्शन आणि दिग्दर्शनामुळे आत्मविश्वास, आनंद आणि परमात्म्याशी दैवी संबंध निर्माण झाले. ज्येष्ठ नर्तक, संगीतकार, कलाप्रेमी आणि कला शाखेच्या विद्यार्थ्यांनी सभागृह फुलून गेले होते. हा आनंद घेण्यासाठी, पुन्हा जिवंत करण्यासाठी, आठवण्यासाठी आणि लक्षात ठेवण्यासाठी ही नृत्याची एक संध्याकाळ होती !

Abhyasa Pradarshanam is the classical dance festival that nurtures the learnings of young talents with an exploration into new music, new themes, hours of practice and efforts taken to craft an exciting experience in the eyes of the audience, making it contemporary-classically.
A musical dance drama in Bharatanatyam format to the accompaniment of Live musical ensemble was presented by 62 dancers to the theme Krishna Katha(कथा), portraying the life stories of Krishna,” on, 20th April 2024 at Natasamrat Nilu Phule Natyagruha, Sangvi, Pune.
The academy and students were blessed to have amidst them Padmashree Awardee Guru.Sadanam P.V. Balakrishnan. It was indeed a blessing to share the stage with a stalwart who received his Padmashree Award at the Rashtrapati Bhavan on 22nd April 2024.The auspicious lighting of the lamp followed by his Kathakali performance on Navarasas, the nine emotions set the stage for the evening.
The Bharatanatyam recital was witnessed by an audience of more than 300 people, they experienced Krishna through a series of consciousness, through Angika or body movements, the charm of Bala Krishna, was seen in scene of birth of Krishna the cradling of baby Krishna created a festive ambience on stage. Makhan Chor, Kalinga Narthan & Govardhana Giri scenes transported one to Vrindavan.
Jagadhodharana performed by Smt. Charanya kept the spectators at edge of their seats. Her portrayal of Yashoda,as a privileged mother cuddling, correcting, cajoling, putting the great divine god to sleep, in turn Krishna is surrending to his mother was indeed a visual treat to watch.
The unique aspect of expressing with hasta mudras for a voiceover by the established the aspect of Vachika Abinaya at the show very well. The woes of Gopis were beautifully portrayed when pranked by the beloved Kanha in dance sequences of Radha Krishna, a celestial dance between the Krishna and the King of Peacocks, playful theft of clothes of the gopis, all expressed the Shingara in the form of tender nothings two lovers can intimately live in.
Aaharya or decoration was seen through authentic crisp, colourful & vibrant costumes, thematic props used in scenes, the impressive lighting effects at background silhouette constantly showcasing different stages of Krishna, stage decoration, sound acoustics & make up took everyone back to the times of the Dwapara Yuga.
It was indeed a blessing for the audience to witness the representation of the rich Indian mythology, culture and the eternal Sanatana Dharma through the artistic expressions in all the dance performances. The soulful rendition by the members of the Orchestra kept audience connected throughout the dance drama. Nattuvangam by Smt.Charanya created a smooth connection between the dancers and the orchestra , Vocals &Veena by Sri.Rohan Pillai made the entire place divine transporting audience to Krishna’s abode, Sri.Gurusathya Rajasekar’s rendition on Ghatam & Morsing along with adding special effects with Rhythm pads, Shankh, Bell, Thavill & Kanjira kept up audience spirits high, Mridangam by Sri.Pancham Upadhyay kept an energetic rhythm, flute by Sri.Sanjay Sasidharan brought melody to music & beautiful expressions into dance movements making it serene & beautiful.
Natyashala academy’s philanthropic activities and belief in making a difference to the lives of needy people through dance is indeed commendable. Looking at the faces of 57 girls on the stage from the underprivileged school from Rachna Girls Hostel – Panshet, Pune was heartwarming. Wishing all the luck to the academy to carry out the humane work providing holistic education combined with dance and movements, to the children from all sections of the society.
The choreography and direction of the dance drama presented by Smt.Charanya created expressions of confidence, of joy and of a divine connection to the supreme. The auditorium was brimming with senior dancers, musicians, art lovers and students of Art. An evening of dance to relish, relive, recollect and remember!!!
